Looks like Intel is ramping it's P4 faster than anyone expected (perhaps even faster than Intel expected themselves). This increased scaling from the P4 put's even greater pressure on AMD to make the upcoming Hammer perform like gangbusters right out of the gate. Check the latest roadmap here.
