hey, I know at least one of you has got an Impreza of some sort. If you do, you seriously need to check out http://easystreetmotorsports.com/ . They are :mad2::mad2::mad2::mad2:ing insane! I saw them at Infineon (Formarly Sears Point) raceway at the import drags, and they did close to if not better than 7 seconds. They boast to have the quickest and fastest street legal Impreza WRX. They sell package upgrades, and sell they're own products.

I haven't seen the car in person but I know of it. Drag racing isn't my thing but getting a rex to do 7 seconds is nuts. I know they're not running the stock glassbox. Early WRX trans's have a reputation of eating gears from hard driving in close to stock trim.

Wonder what it would do against the Mine's R-32 on a road course. :)

uh, i dunno. probably not too good, cause I saw the car after a race, and they were dumping ice cubes into the radiator.......... Like shitloads........

The stock EJ205 will take about 300HP before you can run into issues. It being a open deck block when you start throwing a lot of boost at it the cylnders start to go oval under load. I'm pretty sure they're running a custom closed deck block and a aftermarket trans.

Why people drag WRX's is a mystery to me. AWD robs too much power for 1/4 mile and scoobies are made for the twistys.

well, when u can make a wrx produce somewhere around 740 hp i wouldnt be wondering why u drag it. I mean shit, it may take a lil lmore than 30 k and cost of car, but u got a street legal car that can hang with the big dogs, and you can drive home from the track. now thats rewarding.

If I was going to chuck 30K at a car I'd start with a STi. The WRX can scare the big dogs stock. My friend rolled a 944 and a 911 on track at pocono this weekend with a 94 turbo legacy running maybe 4lb of boost. Ok, it was raining but with AWD you can keep going the same speed while most have to back off.

944 or 951? ;) That lil snail makes alot of diffrence. I should be pushing 220hp to the wheels when my car finally gets painted (this week, crosses fingers).

A garrett T04E might be in the works also. I'm aiming for 300RWHP, and alot of track time. :)

I didn't see the car so I don't know if it was running a hairdryer.

You planning to make a trip to beaverun? that's the farthest west we go. If you're going there I'll see if we'll make the trip. :)

Yup, I'm on TeamIAC and I own AZP installs with a few friends. We specialize in Subaru proformance parts and installs.

Current team cars: 94 Turbo Legacy 5-sp, 96 Impreza L full cage racecar, 92 SVX (retired from trackduty for a while), 99 RS, 2 04 STi's in various tune, 2000 RS/WRX swap, and a few WRX's floating around.

And my 96L/WRX EJ205 swap if I ever get the damn thing done. ;)

Beaverun is near Pittsburg PA. We don't go there often seeing as it's 7 hours away. :)

I figure it's the closest track to you that I go to. ;)
