It is interesting, but Im not seeing a huge difference between this and a normal injected car... or is it that the engine is both port and direct injected?

Well what we have been told is that it it is a diesel design but with petrol and a spark plug lol ..... it is supposed to be a lot more efficient and cleaner burning and we are checking to see if certain ideas and the implimentation are new and valid .... If you were to trawl the patent sites you would get more info as I can't show you the ones we are working on .... One prob you may have is a lot of the patents are in Japanese although an abstract should be available which is like a 1 page summary sort of thing for us westerners lol but I have sitting here also around 500 USA patents

That makes sense. Diesel with a spark plug.
There really would have to be a huge fuel effeciency increase as a spark plug will add quite a bit of maintence.
With the exception of oil changes there really is no maintence on diesel engines.
