I have decided not to charge for the use of DCS. I mean, seriously, I don't want to do that to anyone. I wrote the program for use, not for profit. I want you guys to keep using it, all I ask is for credit back to my site (LiquidNinjas.com).

However, DCS was a huge personal project for me. I can't count the hours spent programming in PHP in order to provide one of the best stats programs around. The DCS program consists of multiple PHP pages and thousands and thousands of line of code. And there's still a lot of things I can do with it.

But I've really been disconnected with it now. I haven't had a lot of motivation to update DCS, or even maintain it (since Stanford has been changing everything). SETI stats havent been fully migrated to the new version, and there are other projects I would like to involve. I would also like to have a stats page with things such as catchup times and ladder threats. All that cool statistical crap we all love.

If you like DCS, and would like to see it continue, please make a donation. You can paypal me at player0@liquidninjas.com. Just make sure you note that the donation is for the continuation of DCS. If enough of you guys paypal $5, $10, $20 for the DCS project then I'll have some real reason to keep going on it. I'll continue supporting it as long as donations come in. So if you or your team uses DCS, and like it better than some of the competition, or you're dying to see some new features, then please chime in with your support. Also, if you could pass my message on to other sites, that would be great.

Again, I'm really not looking to make a profit on this. I'm a 'starving artist' except I happen to code PHP. I'd really like to continue the project, but it's not worth my countless hours. Basically, if I can make some spare cash programming DCS, then its less time I have to spend making spare cash doing websites for other people. Tens of thousands of people use DCS every day. If 0.1% of you donated $5, I would be very happy and would get coding again on this project.

Thanks!
