Is anyone WC'ing this MB and if so will it post with no fan hooked to CPU fan header. I see in manual that one of the voice reports is NO CPU Fan. If the board dont detect the CPU fan will it still boot. I am stumped here and am trying to find out before I hit the power button. And if it wont post how did you get it to? Butch

I think there is a setting in the BIOS. Check the manual. I checked my A7V-266E manual and could'nt find anything. Then again I don't have the thermal protection the A7V-333 does. I think my KX7 has the option but I've never looked :)

The manual seems to say that I will have the chance when booting to hit F1 or del to continue boot when I am advised that one off the monitored fan speeds is not correct. I think I am going to try the PSU fan lead from my Enermax too and see if that will satisfy the CPU fan speed for post. Butch

That should work fine. All it wants is a RPM reading and it should be happy :cool3:

it will not boot wit a 2500rpm fan.. tried exacly what you said... but the fan didnt spin good eneough... ended up clearing cmos and starting from scratch

I don't remember shuting off the RPM warning in the BIOS. Then again I was so happy I got my new toy I probally blew by it.

It starts fine with this.
