Tried to edit my post, almost immediately, and got this.

So, do we only have a minute to edit, or is mine screwed up, because I hit submit alot, before I mean to, and I am really going to have to start rereading shit before I do.

You have 1 minute or less.

it feels like less then 1 minute to me, that limit isn't nearly enough time.

Yeah, I am a slow reader. I think I may just type all my posts in Word, and reread em a couple of times, so I don't sound like more of an idiot.

the count down starts most likely, from the seconds you hit the send reply button... and ticks away as you go to the redirect page.. then back to the thread... and then click edit.. type in your message... click send..

a minute is rather short

especially when you are on a 56k and downloading something at the same time... sometimes takes a minute just to get back to the thread... :P

Perhaps the time frame you're allowed to edit a post should be extended a little :)

I like the minute timer. I think it inspries people to take time with their posts, and watch what they say.

Im not sure I know of any compelling reason to increase it? If you find out a link is dead, make another post. Or ask a moderator, thats their job :)

This is inplace because of trouble makers though. Too often someone would blow up, stir up shit, and then go back and edit it all out of there posts before the mods could see/save it.

We have a preview button, and 1 min should be adequate for most screw ups. It may be unpopular, but im a proponent of leaving it at 1m.
