NVidia's new Nforce2 chipset which will be announced shortly is being reported to have 20% advantage over VIA's DDR400 solution. There will apparently be support for asynchronous FSB clocks and memory clocks, an AGP 8X interface, and Hypertransport support at 800MB/s.
Nforce 2 will also include a "Nvidia Communication Suite", which includes Home PNA, FireWire up to 400MB/s, and USB 2.0 up to 480MB/s, as well as 10/100T Ethernet.
Hmmm...interesting indeed.

I think they made claims to be much faster before the original Nforce as well

I'm all for it.. good alternative to via.
I think it will be great.I have one MSIK7N 420 Pro with nvidia chipset, and what i can tell is: this mobo is really stable.Unfortunately, it doesn't like overclock, maybe on this new nvidia2, things can change. What i would really like to see are a new sound drivers.Dolby Digital 5.1 is really good, sounds one of the best for me , better than sound blaster implementation, that is by software, and in my opinion is a good solution too, but stereo sound on nvidia is really poor. With Digital output, there's no problem, because you can use a receiver or a power with pre-ampli, but when using 5.1 analogic speakers and stereo sounds it is really poor. There's no bass and treble control,no equalizer, no settings for center, subwoofer and crossover frequency volume, no bass redirection, that i think it's really important when using analogic speakers and stereo sound, and of course, there's nothing seemed like EAX to configure the audio processor's effects engine. In all for all, this board is really good, and worth the bucks, and i think that nvidia2 is coming to be better.Well, customers from nvidia chipset are waiting a long time for a good and enjoyable sound drivers.I hope and i wish that Nvidia can do it now with the release of Nvidia2.
