This is hopefully simple, what's the differences between the 3 different coloured PS2s that are out now? There's black, silver and now aqua.
I know the Aqua one has a built in infra-red receiver for the remote and has a quieter fan so it runs ... well, quieter LOL
So what, if any, are the other differences? I'm asking because I just bought an Aqua PS2 today ... no idea why, I just did LOL

Errrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmm, other than what you just said i dont think there is a difference. possibly an updated system chip (bios or wateva you wonna call it) so it may be harder to get chipped. Maybe the dvd version is updated on it . . (my ps2 is a lowsy dvd player, give it 20-30 mins and the sound will be totally out of sync to the video).
I cant really think of any other differences. Oh, and if youve got money to throw away, or just buy something jusr coz you did, throw some my way, a student is always in need of cash! :D

Well I bought the PS2 because I did have one before, then sold it LOL My brother has a PS2 and has loads of games, some of which I'd like to play ... and there's some cool looking ones coming out soon, so I thought what better time to buy one.
I was going to get the standard black one because it had a 5 game bundle (or which only 2 were good LOL). The system + games was only £10 more than just buying the system on it's own!! But the wife liked the Aqua one, and I liked the improvements that had been made (the ones I know about).
In all reality I probably won't play on the damn thing a real lot ... should have used the money for something a little more constructive :D

lol, you should of put your money to good use and got an xbox. Ps2's gfx i really dated now, some of the new games look good, but compared to xbox its nothing:P
You get all the lovely shimery and shiny polished effects on xbox games along with eh high res's and usually much more fluid faster loading games :cool3:
Oh, and theyre cheaper than the ps2:D

Yeah but I don't like the XBox controller at all, some stupid idiot actually thought it was a good design ... I say that person should have been shot LOL
True the XBox is the superior machine in many ways, but there's more games for the PS2 that I would like than there are on the XBox :)

I havent got the biggest hands in the world at all, but i find the pads is just about right. its based heavily on the dreamcast pad (R.I.P.) which i liked alot, just felt a little cheap, but the xbox one feels much more sturdy and has a better quality feel to it. True there are lots of games for the ps2, and some you want to play but im sure you could play them round at your bro's, and have an xbox for yourself, best of both worlds!

The small controller (S-version) is fine for me... I admit the large one sucked, though.
