So i switched jobs and now i work for pepsi, switch around november, and my boss knows alot about the coolers we stick our product in, and one time we were in cold drink were they repair the coolers and had a unit that looks just like a vapochill unit, but bigger, compresser rad everything is bigger, so my boss has alot of connections for these units and is going to hook me up with one and get it for less than $100. But here is were you guys come in, i need to make it into a vapo or mach system or know were to get the cold thing, or ways about using this thing, and he said it used 404 or something, i will get pics posted soon. Thanks for all the help.

ooooooooohhhhhh now your getting into the world of *serious*cooling.

i know a few people who make thier own phase change systems using similer componants. basically you need to make yourself an expansion chamber that will fit onto your CPU in a similer way to a water block... i know some people have done it by welding shut a copper topped maze 3 and attaching the compressor to that though i'm not sure i'd recommend it...

Spazz,
As dicki stated you'll need a block to attach to the cpu. Look on ebay for a baker block or just search google for one.

www.xtwerkz.com for baker blocks. I would recommend getting the pre-brazed and tested units, though.

so on the fridge unit connects to a block, via flare screw in, and it just goes in their and gets cold, so i would just need to neopreme it up to prevent condencation? really green on noob to the fridge cooling. but this is what you would sujjest?

Neoprene around that insulator you have pictured there, yeah. And on the capillary/suction tubing, you would used closed cell foam insulation.

so it would look like this but neopreme on it?

you got it. That insulation kit doesnt really condensate proof, it just makes the ambient to surface temperature delta lower.

Check bowman's guide on phase-change.com to see how he built an insulator for his homemade evaporator.

how much pressure do these things create and would it be feesable to make my own block?

I wouldnt really go for building your own block unless you know how your system works and how to adjust it in great detail. You need to make sure that your coolant is flowing and returning fast enough to maintain the super low temps I assume you're going for.

so the coolent flows in and out through the same tube? cuz on that block their is only one connection, and the block sprials to a dead end, i will post pics when this reffer deck comes in, should this week, my manger is hooking me up and said this week so anytime.

So i got it in a while back but forgot to post, and it has the everything on it and runs right now but it has a huge evoporater on it. So i was thinking of water chilling cuz i don't know how to rechrage these things.

And the folks at phase-change really don't like noobs, you better know you stuff and have done it before you ask questions. So i'm lost for what to do
