couple days ago i bought some liquid electrical tape. (last time i tried usin' silicon i destroyed my board)

i condensate proof my a64 board and successful.

now i'm gettin' some very HIGH temps

idlein' @ 1.64V i get 30C full load jumps to 60+C double the idle

whats up with that?

got a 226W pelt.

i got 2 rads (BIX n BIP) in series both r warm to the touch

even so should the idle/load b so HIGH?

[edit]

btw i did manage a higher clock not Prime stable though due to HIGH temps (75C load tmp 32C IDLE @1.82V) BOGUS!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a block to chip contact issue. Did you make sure to double check you are getting contact?

How hot is hot on the water temps? What fans are you running?

i'm gettin' so annoyed dont know what else to do

guess i should've gotten a swiftech but they dont make TEC blocks for a64

I thought the 5002 has A64 mountng brackets?

Anyway, how are you powering your peltier? Is it functioning correctly? It may have gotten damaged somehow, they are fragile.

they do but they dont make the TEC version (5002T) for the a64
its bein' powered by the meanswell PSU

i know its working because the water is wicked hot
both my rads are HOT to the touch
so the pelt is definitely working

heres the temperatures @ 1.72V (AMD athlon64 3400+) no overclock

Idle

Load

is this normal for a TEC (226w) setup?

No way is that normal!

I would look into the rad's. Something as small as a bix won't cool that much of a load. Two of them prob won't either. Thats the first place i'd look next to contact.

If your rads are getting really hot, you're probably not cooling the pelts enough as wes said. Are you running some pretty high cfm fans?

119CFM 120mm fans

2 radiators = 4562 BTU cooling power
definintely not enough for a 226+80W TEC crazy

i come to see that it is my rad

if i go full load too long than stop temperature will NOT go down
i'd hafta shutdown pc n let the water cool down!!! screwed up rads

n people on other forums sayin' BIX can handle da load yah right

other the fan on my BIpro stopped but the one on the BIX was still going

came bak both rads was so hot u couldnt keep ur hands on it for one second b4 u got burnt

even the cold side would burn the sh*t outta ur hands

jus checked dangerden and they sold out of the he120.3
imma buy that so i'll have 3 rads in the loop
