Just got my Maze 3 copper top 1250 pump BIX rad. What a would like to know is should I run the hose from (Pump ,CPU, Res, Rad) or (Pump, Rad, CPU, Res) back to pump. I was going to go the first way. For any one out there that was lookig for a cheap res I want to the Hardware store and got a 3*5 PVC outlet box that already had two 1/2 in. threaded holes in it and got two 1/2 by1/2 barbed inlets and they screwed right in and a PVC water tight cover.

Later,

Thanks for any help that you give me!

welcome to the board :)

basically it doesn't matter what order you have things in because the water temps between 2 points in the system should be basically identical. the only thing i would say is that the pump should be pushing not pulling so i would set it up

res - pump - cpu - rad - res

so more similer to your second choice

the reason i put cpu - rad is just for psychological reasons really... radiators work best with hot water and the water should be it's hottest (even if only by a fraction of a degree) straight after the cpu

Hi 1meangti,

First let me :D WELCOME :D you to Liquid Ninjas!!

Secondly, I have found that running the rad to CPU to pump and back to rad gives a better, lower temp. I prefer to have the cooled rad water going to the CPU. It is at it's lowest temp at that point.

See my system info/stats signature for temps.

Again welcome to LN.

Take care.......

Unless, of course, they are facing the other way:)
