I am curious if anyone out there has tried a water chiller w/o radiator.. using pelts exclusively to cool the water.....
ie
water loop to cpu with several pelt/hs combinations inline to dissapate heat?
in this case i would see 80w pelts working well.. as to not over power a decent heatsink...and sitll provide decent cooling..
or am i nuts?

You would need at least 3-4 80w pelts running at 12v to do this. You need a serious HSF to cool each peltier. At $30 a HSF, its probably cheaper and more effective to water cool the hot sides of the peltiers. The heatsinks will also take up alot of space, and all those little high power fans you will need will really make things loud.
But sure, it could be done.

you are right, and basically the best way to do it would be to do what uve done... lol,are there any smaller pelts... perhaps 50w or smaller that would work with the $6 special i can get at work...
its adequate for an athlon 1000... at about 40c

Tons of smaller pelts. But that just means you need more space to put them all. You dont want 20 heatsinks sticking out of your case hehe :)
Or do you? ;)

you never know what i might be thinking... i was figuring id design a head shaped case and the fins would be the hair...
