When boredum sets in...

Begin bored for the past week at work (school) really gets to you...... i learned a valueable lesson today. Old harddrives are harder to break than you think! Even while goin 60Mph down a back road and dropping one on the cement. Just a little road rash is all the Westren Digital 540Mb Harddrive got out of it. On the other hand the Seagate 1.08G harddrive suffered a broken chip and bent connectors along with some road rash.


Lesson learnt: Next time increase Mph to 70. And bring a sledge hammer.

Question:
What were ya riding on/in to do 60 MPH and "drop" the HD's?

Hard to "drop" them out a window, by accident.
Hard to peddle 60 MPH on a 10 speed.

My old Quantum Fireball 3gig'er even looks like a tank compared to my IBM GXP 7200... I sure hope it is sturdier though, because it's made its way across a few states in the back of a U-haul a few times now, and I need it for my 2nd rig project until a few paydays have passed. :D
