Okay, so I should soon have a 462UHT and MCW50T. I don't know if this chieftec is really worth modding that heavily, even though aluminum should be much easier to work with than steel.
I was considering running each pelt block in its own loop w/ 80mm black ice micro or 80 mm thermochill rad, and hydor L30 pump (or mcp600 and thermochill 80.2s) if I can ebay this pro audio card soon). Is this overkill, should I just take the 676 and power up the dremel, or maybe run a single loop w/ mcp600 and black ice micro II? I figure I could always split em up if needed when I get a phase change rig.
Your thoughts always valued!

well it would certainly be interesting however its quite possible to run both in one loop assuming your radiator is up to the task... a TC 120.2 would be plenty... 2 * TC 80.1's? hummm maybe...

I'm trying to get around serious case mods if possible, thus the choice of 'bolt in' 80mm rads (okay so I'm a little lazy... its winter dangit). The black ice micro II claims to be able to remove 662.91W per hour. How are those thermochill 80.2's in comparison to the BIMII? I cant find any specs on the limited edition models that pclincs is offering. I'd figure they would better flow conservation w/ native 1/2" barbs rather than the BIMII which I believe was designed for 3/8 systems.
I could easily fit a pair of these 80x2 rads in the chieftec in a 4 fan push pull setup, or an 80x2 for the 226W and a single 80 for the gpu (although it almost makes more sense to spend the extra $4 on an 80x2).

i would take ALL of those radiator performance measurements with a pinch of salt... they can only shift that much heat when the water is nearly boiling.
TC is the only manufacturer i know if to state radiator performnce at a sensible delta T (10c?)
performance wise they are probably quite similer though the build quality and features of the TC's are far better

Are the Thermochills built well enough to warrant the 125 quid to get a pair of 80x2 HE80.2 rads that the pclincs store is gonna charge me?

Never go by radiator ratings. They are WAY off. Beleive me.
Dual loops will be overkill.
The BIMicro2 will NOT be enough. Two 80s will also NOT be enough cooling power.
You can't run two peltiers like that without some serious radiator. a BIX *might* be enough with a large fan, but you really want a dual 120mm rad like the HE120.2 or BIX2.
With the 80mm rads, you might as well take the peltiers right off, you will get better performance without them.

Guess I'm gonna have to hone my dremel skills. Luckily I bought the multipro kit w/ hole cutter.
Damn, this is starting to cost about as much as a vapo or mach I. I guess it's all in the name of fast and fun.
Would mike's 676 (1/2 in barbs) handle this load w/ 4 panaflo M1A 120mm fans (86cfm @ 12v 4.08W ea or mike's sunons) running @7v in push pull mounted w/ silencer gaskets in the top 5.25 bay and the meanwell mounted below it?
I'm wondering if it would be best to make 2 CD sized holes on the top, or just cut out a square exposing the whole radiator fin area? I'd also like to hear your thoughts on whether I should use the swiftech rad gasket against the top of the case and mount the pull fans outside of the case or just assemble the whole thing inside and just put a pair of 120mm grills up top?

I like hole saws for making fan cuts, much cleaner than the dremel.
The big swifty rad will be okay, its not as good as the HE120.2 or BIX2 but it will suffice, youll just need more fannage. I still dont recommend running fans at 7v. You will have less noise with a fan controller.
There is NO point to running fans push/pull at 7v. All this does is speed up the fans and make them louder. Youd be better off having one fan at like 12v really. Push/Pull is only for when one fan isnt enough power, you can get some extra flow. It's noisier however, there isnt really any practical sense in running push/pull and then lowering the voltage.
Just how you mount the fans is up to you. I prefer to have fans blow through the radiator than to suck, as there is more pressure, which is good for flat fins.

Are the panaflo's the quietest, high cfm fans out there that are readily available in the US? The miniscule cfm differential for papst (thats untailed as well) does not justify the price difference.
Could I get away w/ a pair of stealths (~50CFM @ 1500rpm 28DB) or would the panaflo's be the minimum (~85 @ 2100 rpm 35db)?

Whats a decent 4 3/4" hole saw w/ arbor go for these days? Can I get one less than $40?
