Admins and other members with FTP access to liquidninjas.com should use their own private FTP space for article/review images. Please see me if you need instructions.
We know that good articles & reviews have lots of pretty pictures attatched. So I thought I would post a little guide here to show you how you can attatch images to your stories here on LiquidNinjas. Please feel free to respond on this thread if you have any questions, or e-mail me.
We prefer for images to be stored on our site as often as possible. This will ensure that our pages load faster, and helps prevent broken images. Linking to images on other websites is allowed, but only if a good reason exists.
People without full posting rights may submit their articles through the front page as usual, but must e-mail me any images they wish attatched to the article, and I will insert the images manually. Full posting rights, as well as Gallery rights, will be given out based on merit and request.
If you have been already given full posting rights, but still need Gallery access for your images, please e-mail me and I will give you a special login for the gallery.

Using the Gallery
Once we set you up with access to the Gallery, you may log in and go to the Articles & Reviews gallery. From there, you may upload any pictures you wish, as long as they are important for your article. You may also use the 'gallery remote' application available from our downloads area. This allows you to drag and drop images right from your desktop to the gallery.
Once all your images are up on the gallery, you are ready to link them in to your review/article. Use the standard HTML <img> tag to link your images, for example:
<img src="http://www.liquidninjas.com/gallery/siteimages/your_image.gif">
Note: All images that you upload in the gallery will be in the path starting with: "http://www.liquidninjas.com/gallery/siteimages/". Please be sure to name your files well, so as not to overwrite or disrupt other images in the gallery.
As always, please ask me or another Admin if you need help. I will try to keep revising these instructions to make them easier to follow. Improper use of the Articles & Reviews gallery will loose you any site privilages.
