I'm in the process of getting me some kingston or corsair 400 but i'm just wondering how far i can push the current specs for oc'ing the chip:

Barton 2500 XP
K7N2 Nforce2
DDR333 (decent brand)
plenty of cooling, Thermalrights Sk7
400w Antec SmartPower

i've got it at 10*200 right now at stock voltage and wondering how far i can make it go without hurting the ram...or with my board does anyone know if i can "guess and check"?

You can't harm the RAM unless you overvolt it too much. I'd stay under 2.9v

Other than that, you have to push it to see how far it will take ya :)

I've got my XP-2500 at 12 X 192 with no ill effects. I'm running DDR-333 ( don't remember the brand) and haven't had any problems. MB is a Asus A7N8X. Everything is stock except for the core voltage was bumped up to 1.70V. Temp's are holding at 49* core, 45* socket ( according to MBM)..........I'm running Folding 24/7. Good Luck!

I have my DDR 333 stable up to about 195mhz, but I only run at about 190 for heat issues on the processor.

I have a gig of crucial PC2700 CL 2.5
