Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a monitor and was thinking on getting a reconditioned one. anybody here ever buy a use one? was it worth it?

The one I'm thinking of getting is a Dell UltraScan P1110 21-inch (mfg. sony trinitron)for $175, it comes with a 6 month Warranty. and only $25 for shipping

Or should I get a new 19in NEC or viewsonic

I love me Trinitrons. Viewsonic flatscreens look just as good.

NEC...well, depends on the model. I like the higher end ones. Their flatscreens rock.

Hey snowman,
I bought a used IBM G74 (17" Black ) monitor close to 3yrs ago. Its still going strong with bright colors. I think I paid like $50 for it shipped to my door.

Actually, at work we buy off lease 17" monitors and sell them. I'm typing on one right now. Viewsonic PT775. I'v had no problems with it for the 6-8months i'v been using it.

LCD screens are getting really good these days, dont know what sort of availability you have over there, but have heard some really good reports, like hugely betta than recent trinitrons. goodluck.
