Hi Fellas,

Here's a good one. I don't know if everyone knows but the 3R BIOS have an option to automatically turn the computer on after a power failure (just if you leave a stabilizer or a no-break turned on). I turned that option on cause I used to leave the system running Prime when I was at work. My pump is totally independent from the computer itself, so if the system crashes or hang, my water-cooling system will continue to run, but without the CPU heat I will have condensation problems. Well, enough explanations. Last Friday I was having dinner with my girlfriend and my dad called to my cell phone:

- "Son?"
- "Hello dad!"
- "You better get home, there's something burning in your bedroom..."

When I get home, I noticed my computer had turned on without the pump and burned all the neoprene, silicone/foam tubes near the water-block (nasty view). That's what happens: I turned off my computer when I leave home, and forgot the stabilizer turned on. After that we have a small black-out and when the energy returns it turned my computer on without the water-cooling system. Well, the computer was already off when my dad noticed the smell, I thought: "He's gone... and maybe the MoBo too..." I just couldn't believe what I was seeing!! all the work, voltage mod, insulation job...One of the worst feelings I ever had. So I turned my pump on and prayed for the best. Nothing happens. I spent all the weekend thinking how stupid I was leaving the stabilizer turned on...Today I tried a 1.1 T-bird just to see if the MoBo was gone too, but the system just won't turn on. I don't know what the heck passed trough my mind but I decided to try my "burned" 1.4 birdy. Guess what? It's still working!!! totaly unbeliveable if you see the picture!! I'm going to make another insulation job and crank it up again!! maybe I'll be blessed with this "burn-in" :D:D:D

I'm really dunno if I'm the luckiest or the most stinky mofo of the planet!

Notice the burned foam tubes and also the labels on the CPU.

Wow...that must be crispiest looking working CPU I have ever seen:eek:

Yep, I'd say that was a pretty good burn in job alright:)

Glad it turned out okay for you.

Yep It works, amazing isnt it´?

I´m at work right now, cuting neoprene for insulation of the water-block and socket.

Hope to get things working at night. ;)

Hmm guess thats a really good reason to wire your pump to your PSU. http://www.procooling.com/articles/html/ph_s_guide_to_wiring_pumps_-_p.shtml

Hi blitz, I appreciate your help, but unfortunately my pump is 220V :( and the outlets are 110V. I only have a 220V outlet due to an old german dust vacuum cleaner that we have. I think I'm stuck here...

update: System is running again! 1812Mhz at the moment. I'm adjusting the bolts that fixes the water-block, cause my temps were a bit higher than before. It's incredible how just a 1/4 turn in one of the bolts changes the CPU temps.
