Netgear RP614 help

Hi,
I set-up a server on my machine using Serv-U by Rhinosoft which was working fine ..... Now I have installed my new Netgear router I cannot access the server in any way lol :( ..... I think it has something to do with port forwarding but I could be way off target :rolleyes: Can anyone give me the idiots guide to setting the router up so I can reach my server lol

You need to forward port 21 (ftp) from the Router to the Internal IP of the box hosting ServU.

Yep, you use Port Forwarding. The setup is a little different from router to router. But your just opening port 21 through the router. It should make the ServU work. Make sure to disable PASV mode.

Hi,
Just got it sorted :D .... I had the wrong domain IP address in Serv-U :rolleyes: I had my computer IP address starting with 82 rather than the 192 one lol
