crappy radeon 9600SE performace?

i upgraded from a geforce 3 ti200 card to a radeon 9600 se ( cat 3.9 already installed) and the performace seems choopy at 800x600 res, what gives? i was getting smother performance with the nvidia card:confused:

Two things:

First did you do a full uninstall of the Nvidia drivers and reg clean? Any Nvidia remnants can cause trouble.

Second, I don't like the CAT 3.9s....or the 3.8s for that matter. I prefer the 3.7s by far. I've tried both the 3.8 and 3.9 and both times moved back to 3.7s.
