I read so many reviews of heat sinks and fans and so on... And of course water cooling... But what really is a decent temp for an air cooled P4? My P4 3.0C at default clock runs around 40-55c even after hours of gaming. I wonder how that compares or if that is even good to begin with.

I run a Swiftech MCX4000 with a Thermaltake 90x90x25 fan that moves 56cfm at 35dba if I remember correctly. Decently quiet too...

40 - 55c is bang on for air cooling, and well with in the specs for the P4, it doesn't give you much headroom for overclocking but noisier more powerfull fans and good ventilation will fix that if thats your goal
