I chipped my bottom front tooth tonight. A big old chunk came out. It almost feels hollow inside. Anyway, any treatment ideas until I get to the dentist?

Crazy glue works but... I'd just wait till you get to the dentist. I don't think they will use the piece of tooth but you should keep it in milk if you want.
You pretty much just deal with it. Keep away from hot or cold foods. :) avoid any lemon, vinigar, anything sour.
I just dealt with it. I broke my two front teeth three times and didn't even go to the dentist till my next cleaning. It sucked for about a week or two but it wasn't as bad as the battery acid incident. :)

I guess what it boils down to, is do I go to the dentist ASAP and pay full price? Or do I wait the 1-2 weeks for my dental plan?

Well... I'd say that depends on the severity...
Does it look like this...

Hope it's not too serious :(

No, mines small. But... I'm having it fixed today at my cost. It drove me SO nuts last night I couldnt sleep. Theres something about the feel of that broken tooth that just wigs me out, like something is in my mouth. I cant describe it, but i cant stop poking my tongue in the hole and its all sharp. So. I wonder how much this will cost me.

There's a product called Dentemp that smooths out a small chip to make it more comfortable for you until you can really treat it... maybe that's a possible solution to save you a little money?

Too late to be usefull I know....but Seriously salty water...gargled warm.....stings like an absolute #$%@^* for a few moments...then the whole thing goes numb completely for an hour or two....sometimes more. It is comforting to know the infection is being hampered...but I do it for the pain.
PS. If it doesnt work..it wasnt salty enough or long enough.;)
