Anyone have experience with forcing thermally controlled fans in a psu to run at full power all the time? I don't mind replacing the fans if i have to. Maybe slap some 50CFM sunon's in there! :D

If they're thermally controlled why not just cut out the thermisitor/diode and solder the ends together?

Good idea. But i'd still like to put some higher CFM fans in it. ;]
I'm an airflow junkie, no matter how loud it is! :D

Speaking of soldering..
Anyone know of some good deals on a moderatly priced, decent soldering kit? Like a soldering pencil and maybe a few diff types of solder. Something thats good to use with modding and soldering small parts.
Please forgive me, for i know nothing about soldering ;x

I hear ya :) Got a 60dB beast not 3 feet from me.
If you're replacing the fans altogether that'd be more simple, but still require soldering (if you want the job done right)

I have to buy a soldering tool first. :D
