Anyone know who makes the highest CFM 80x25 fan?
I know the 80mm vantec tornado pushes 84CFM, but its 38mm thick.

The tornado is quite a beast. I think it's just a rebadged Delta focused flow. Afaik delta's fastest screamer is the most powerful one out there. As far as a 25mm one... I really don't know. Check delta's website and see what they offer in 25mm.

Get a fanbus, trust me. ;)

That's what I meant :)

Is it because those stupid purple fan brackets won't allow thicker? I'm sure there's a way around that.

YES! It is those manly purple fan brackets that are restricting me from using any thicker! :2guns:

Why not experiment a bit? The front cover of the case prevents you from seeing any screw ups, I'm sure a hole can be made that accepts standard fan screws.

Force the fan into the bracket, without it clipping and hotglue it in.

I wonder if there is enough clearance between the fan housing and the fan blades for me to dremel out some slots for them to clip in. Guess i'll find out when i get the fans ;)

you should be albe to just ding the plastic w/o going through it.. eneough for the clips to sink into and hold it steady.. i wouldnt tho try to make it deep eneough to get the clips in like they would normlly be. 7000rpm will chew it up in a heartbeat if it doesnt fix exactly right

Sunon has some pretty insane fan out there. Some not sold on www.pricewatch.com

But might be able to find some of their torando.

I think the fastest 80x25 would probably be the Smart Fan II.
