Hey guys,
I have completed the worst sin ever. I wrecked my car today . I was leaving school, when I went around a turn in the parking lot and got on it a lil bit, I hit full boost and went completly sideways and hit two small trees with the front end of my car. After I hit the first one I swear I spun 2-3 full circles and hit the second tree with the front dirver fender. I came to a stop facing the same way I was originally going.

My two best friends were in front of me and came back to help me out. The car didn't look damaged to bad, drivable at least. I got in it to drive away, started it and the idle climbed to 2,000rpm's before I shut it off. We looked under the car and I saw a huge puddle of oil. So we pushed the car into a spot and thats where its setting until after work when my boss and I are going to get it.

Yes the acident was my fault, I was begin stupid. Never underestimate the power of these cars, I didn't expect the car to even go sideways.

Well it's going up for the winter and hopefully I have enough money to get er fixed.

Oof, that sucks Wes....

This was the german car right? I know you have 2 that are capable of boost.

Hey guys,
Nope it was the boostful german car :( I would'nt of cared if it was the other car lol ;)

Tom,
Yes I have insurance...liability only. So the money comes out of my pocket.

I'll get some pics up later tonight or tomorrow. Thats if I can find my digi-cam and if it didn't take a beating too! :( It was in the passenger seat. The damage isn't that bad, just the cost in parts is an arm and a leg. Like I told my friend after it happened, guess it gives me a reason to get it painted.

Ouch, hope you're okay Wes.

Leaking Oil still bothers me. Maybe damaged the oil filter driving over crap around the trees, but maybe cracked the block, or have a damaged header or something.

Hey tom,
I'm fine, just a lil pissed about the whole situation.

Their is an oil cooler in front of my rad, hopefully i just broke a line or smashed that. The oil filter is also in the front, I might of ripped or chrunched it.

eh, guess i'll find out when I start to tear it apart.

Does that engine have a cast AL oil pan? If the filter and the oil cooler are in the front you may have just pinched the line (hopefully). I'm used to porches with the engine in the rear so I don't know how yours is laid out. If the turbo has oil lines you could've poped one of those off as well.

That really blows man but at least you came through ok.... Hope you have a heated garage. Working on cars in the cold SUCKS!!!

Now if I were to venture a guess.... were there females in the area where you had your incident? ;)

ouch. That totally sucks.

But, at least you are okay. In the end, you may have learned a lesson that will save your life. Automobiles are not toys....even though they feel that way at times. Experiences like this will help you to be more careful in the future. I've had my fair share "doh!" moves in my cars over the years, and I am a safer driver now because of those close calls.

Cars are repairable or replaceable, your body much less so. I'm just glad to hear you were not hurt (except maybe your pride).

To tell you the truth, its not that bad.
My car's rear end had it worse when a lorry hit a van and the van hit my car!

 :321:

3 in 1

I get full insurance coverage so, I was not worried but dang, my whole rear end was dropping and making these screeching sounds when I was driving it back.

pity your nice car though.

get her fixed up and boosting.

Didn't see this thread till now.
Thats a dam shame Wes. Hope the robot can sort your chassis. Maybe its time to fit fiberglass bonnet and panels... Now you know what those era porsches were infamous for, First hand.

It will only make you a better driver.

Glad you're Okay, sorry you nicked some biologicals (Not for them- For you and your ride)
OK... so far you've shown us cosmetic damage... open the hood and get under the car, send us some pics of the mechanical damage. Engine, suspension and frame are what I'm worried about.

Holy crap! You have managed to wreck my most favoritest car ever!

I hate to see the front all bent up:eek:

Are ya selling it or anything? I might be able to buy it and fix it back up :D

Oh, and how did ya manage to get a 944 sideways? I though they were the best handling porsches ever made
