Chris Hargrove's comment to these screenshots is:
"Guys, calm down about your impressions of some of the screenshots appearing "low detail".
What you're not seeing from those shots is that some of these areas are, quite simply, huge. For example, that large building behind the Skaarj in that one shot is not a skybox; it is a sizable structure that you end up entering. And the shots of the desert environment have a fairly large outdoor desert section on the same map as a rather detailed indoor base, all with quite a few (high-poly) characters involved, both friend and foe.
Combine all that with the visual impact of some of these firefights, and believe me your graphics card will be quite busy. We are throwing down a lot of polygons here people."

"I took these shots at 1600x1200 resolution. Not sure why WRE decided to make them so much smaller.
Aida's breasts have not been enlarged. (:D) Yes, that is a hologram behind her.
Upon further reflection, that angle of Isaak isn't a very good representation of how he actually looks. I can see why you guys would think he looks a little cartoonish in that shot. When you see him from a normal angle, though, he doesn't look that way."

Interesting...additionally it looks like as EPIC uses Shaders instead of Lightmaps...mmmh...what do you think? :)
