Any idea where I could buy Japanese pop/rock CD's for less than $50 a piece?

And don't say Japan.:P

I must admit some of the Japanese pop/rock music is pretty good, it's just a shame that singer/group careers are short lived and neevr expand much beyond Japan.

if your looking for japanese music take a look at a group called "the pillows" some of thier stuff is pretty good

Definitely very weird but very enjoyable :) The music was, I think, it's best strong point.

I thought the fact that CB only had 26 episodes was depressing... when I fould out FLCL only had 6 I was pissed off!

yeah same here! CB and FLCL could both have had much more done with them.

how about lain? weird series (matrix-esque?) but pretty good music i think the band is called BOA

For good jrock and anime soundtracks (AOST's) i usually go down to china town in ottawa, they sell dvd's, vcd's, and cd's of the stuff for under 20 bucks a pop. Usually you can get 4 Jrock cd's for 20 if there isn't any new releases or crazy popular hits. It's great.

EDIT: Oh yea, and try and find Bana's stuff too :P Bana - Shell is the opening theme music for witch hunter robin, it rocks.

I thought FLCL coulda had a few more episodes but I think Bebop was perfect link when ever they try to stretch these shows out(DragonBall Z) it really shows and the quality goes right down.

Srry wacky, no great ideas....but I could'nt let a Japanese music thread go by without mentioning the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra......They changed my whole perspective of Japanese music.:P
