right,

me been thinking/dreaming again, but before i go any fiurther i need to know something

what voltages and amp can i get out of the std PSU??

to give you something to go on i havea macron 300w PSU in front of me.

voltages read like this

+5v 30 amps
+12v 10 amps
-5v 0.5amps
-12v 0.8amps
+3.3v 14 amps
+5VSB(?) 3amps

now i have heard ypou lot going on about 24v and 17v out of a PSU, how and are there any other combinations i could use, also, what amps could i expect??

combining -12 and 12 gives you 24v at 0.8amps.

-5 and 12 gives you 17v at 0.5amps.
