hehe newegg.com will be gettin my money.. one question first..
If i go with the 333R does my hdds have to be identical? I have a wd 20gig 5400 ata 100 and a wd 30gig 7200 ata 100 can i raid these?

Better to have two of the same. If you use those it will run slow and you'll loose 10g on the 30g drive.

bang on fara...
basically the raid defaults to the lowest settings... so you'd get 40gb at 5400 transfer speeds

I'd try to pick up a WD JB drive to start. From what I've read they're pretty close to a RAID0 alone. Then save some $$ for another one. I use my twin 15g 7200 maxtors.
