Hey again guys

Well , soon the new ATI and Nvidia cards will be released , meaning prices on the previous cards will go down!

well.... I still havnt given up on Nvidia just yet .... but I know if i do get a 5900 ultra its gonna be the ASUS V9950 . I ve heard good and bad things for both the FX5900 and ATI9800 , would people with facts and experince not bloody rumors plz tell me more about the diffrences and strengths of both these cards , in particuler the ASUS V9950 . Lets openly and respectfully finish the
debate with the 2 high end cards of the video card companys.:321:

nVidia deviated their hardware from DX9 specifications, and now they can't run DX9 very effectively.

So ATI is basically the only choice for decent DX9 performance is ATI.

well yeah currently right ? I mean what about the upcoming drivers.... doesnt ati constantly have to update their drivers cause games will screw up ? Well I mean thats what i've heard about them on forums like tomshardware ...

Tomsbiasware

ATI has no driver issues more than any other company.

I would have to agree with the other guys on this. Nvidias problem is not a driver issue, its in the architecture of their chip, this is not something that can easily be fixed in software. ATI have stuck to the DX9 specs and thus havve a far better product on the market at the mo.

SO b4 i take any action wait for the NV38 and ATI9800XT to come out , cause prices will be lower any way , and see how the competetion stacks up when those future cards are avialble eh ?

Good plan of action :)

Right now my top pick is the 9600XT... under $200 and comes bundled with HL2.

We don't know this yet. I'd wait till Gabe says it before I believe it. :)

Yeah and those bastards stealing the HL-2 code won't help the game be release on schedule  It wouldn't surprise me if they delayed HL-2 so they could alter the code significantly enough so that any cracks or cheats created based on the stolen code won't work.
