Hey guys,
I know you've told me about which motherboard to get. But now that my gigabte died  i need a new mobo. I've narrowed it down to the following:

MSI KT3 Ultra 333
Abit KX7-333
Epox 8KHA+

orthis (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2034272028) dual celeron box. :D

Let me know what u think... my ram is only pc2100 so i might not have as good as o/c but oh well ... when i get somemore money i'am gonna go with some corsair.

The Epox has more stuff on board and can get huge overclocks.

The ABIT seems to be the tool of choice around here but lacks the on board stuff.

I don't know what parts you have/can liberate from school but if you need the on board stuff the EPOX may be cheaper in the long run. Personally, I just ordered a KX7-333R. I went with it because of the many recomendations I've goten from here and other places and my past experience with ABIT.

In the end it will come up to what you want/can afford.

Chose wisely......

Another vote for the KX7 here:)

Not only has mine been running great, but i've put a few others into client builds recently and all have been perfect running. So my experience obviously will bias my opinion in a very positive way.

As far as the dual celery, P0 is right on that the technology is just outdated now. In addition, any MP system needs to set up with some specific Apps in mind. An MP system for general purpose desktop use is not really cost effective nor practical.

BTW, the Epox is a very close second.

The MSI is a nice all around mobo, but it will not OC like the Abit or Epox.

*grin* for $55 i would buy it just for a laugh.

you might get it to overclock to about 500 or 550 depending on the board.

also, the case is very similar to the one i am about to put my new PC into :)

otherwise,. go for the abit board. best by far from what i can tell

toodles :xsofa:

I just got mine from Newegg. Never had a problem with them and the prices are good.
