Hey yall, i just set this up on my computer, and was pretty pumped about it, so i wanted to let everyone who doesnt already know how to do this....how. Now i know we all have tons of content on our computers...including mp3s (that are all encoded from cds in our own collection that we bought) this is a way to make your tracks accessible to yourself anywhere

Slimp3 (http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html)-
this program is totally free, and allows you to set up an mp3 server of your own. So you can access your mp3 collection anywhere in the world. This is a stand-alone server that serves up a web browser interface and produces a stream to your media player...whichever player you have, so long as it can open a location.

The browser interface is extremely robust, allowing you to open playlists on your computer, create playlists on the browser and then download them, searching for artist/title/album/song.

I am excited about having this set up, its going to allow me to just tote headphones around when im at the library here at school and i can listen to my own collection.

Let me know what you guys think of it.....or maybe everyone already knows about it....but for those who dont, enjoy :)
