The Ren & Stimpy story is a sad one. Can't seem to find it on the net anymore but I will tell you what I can remember.

Spümcø created R&S. Spümcø still used story boards like bugs bunny used. Not scripts!

Nickelodeon didn't like the way that Spümcø did things and they edited the hell out of R&S. Some how Nickelodeon became owner of R&S and they got Games Animations to finish out/kill R&S.

Spümcø can never create anymore R&S episodes ever, because Spümcø no longer owns the rights.

The last 13 episodes started at Spümcø and finished at Games Animations.

There are a lot more details that I can't remember, but, the idea is: Spümcø good, Nickelodeon bad.
