BIOS Beep codes

got an ABIT KT7A here.

for some reason i keep getting various different errors codes on it, can anyone tell me what they are.

the first is one long beep, follwed by 2 short ones very close together

the second is one long beep and nothing else

can anyone tell me what they mean before i throw this heap of junk outta the window

oh joy, it seems my video card is foo barred :(

that dosent tell me about the single long bep though :(

The long beep is ram.

Replace the vid card and I'll bet the long beep stops. :confused:

hmmmm, sometimes stuff works fine, then you reboot, and it dont work.

think the problem can be traced back to me modding my case by putting castors on it. when i putth castorson, it pushed the tray my mobo sits on up slightly, and i think its bent the cards/board ever so slightly and thats whats causing the problem :(

am hoping a new board and new case will cure most of it, howver, i aint too hopefull at the mo
