So saturday I try to start my 86 lincoln T/C with 226k on her....dead.
I jump start the beast and let her run for a half hour, i try to start it 4 hours later no problems, starts right up.
sunday at 10pm i try again..I open the drivers door and i'm greeted by an all too familier darkness. [/curse words] so in the darkness i try to open the hood, won't open :( i pull harder on the release [/real bad words] I pulled so hard on that son of a betch i damn near flew into the backseat....when the handle broke off in my hands that is. [/guess the language now!]..:321:

walking back to the house with a side order of blind rage i happen to look down at the handle that is still in my throbbing hand. It read "Brake Release" I sure did!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhh hhh!!!!!!

so this morning i check and see my battery is not only at 6.2 volts, but its 3 years old.
prorated its 72.00, new with full bulldinky warantee its 79.00.
yeah i got a new one.
drove about 50 miles and the charge system bell/buzzer/light thingy that has been haunting me for over a year is going off, so i call my job and the boss says f-it, take care of your car, go home.

i get home, get an alternator and now its charging at 14.2 volts VS the 13.3 it has been for nearly a year.
i wasn't concerned with the noise of the warning lamp/buzz because i knew as long as it was charging over 13v i should be allright.
oops, oh well thats almost 200.00 i wanted to spend elsewhere.
time for side-jobs to make it up! there ain't nothing like risking your job to do side work, it's so invigorating:rolleyes:

thank you for letting me vent, hopefully I've given you something to laugh at!

Is this the one youve never changed the oil in? :)

I think so. :)

It's more of a constant oil change. It gets low, add some. ;)

Parking brake....... See what happens when you're not paying attention. :D

Or the 64 Implala hotwheel?
I will have to drill a hole in it as hotwheels arent normally keychains.
