I've been having a bad day like Kms has but mine has been lasting for a week or so.
Dang computers been actin up. BSOD all over the place and frequent reboots. CD-RW drive won't read my xp cd. DDR ram is takin to long to get here.

I don't know what it is. I'll just be setting here talkin to some firends on msn icq and this darn thing will just go off. I thought i fixed it by using two PSU's but it still does it. (1.75V on cpu)

If i get to many things goin (msn,icq,seti,2ie windows, wmp) It BSOD on me.. then 5 or 10min later... it happens again. Once in a while it will close a program like it caused the BSOD. Other times.. just keep pluggin away.

Could my ram be causing it? Could it still be my PSU? I don't know where to begin. I just can't take it any more.. my units arn't gettin crunched.. i'am on the same unit after 3days.

Mods: Move post if it's not supposed to be here.. could'nt think where else to put it.

Seems like a good forum to me. Sorry to hear about the trouble.

If your having BSOD troubles, try reducing your overclock or RAM timings and see f that helps.

Your DDR is on the way, so you only need to buy yourself some time.

I'm thinking along the same lines as Mike. My Athlon 850 can do 1g but as the weather gets warmer it gets flaky. You might have to kick it down a notch to get stable. Also is the possiblity that your CPU just can't take the O/C anymore. I had chips that used to run high slowly refuse to go as high as they have. I know you're a student but the prices probally going to drop when the throghbred comes avalible. $50-75 beans might be a little hard to swing but when I was in school and I needed a skateboard I found the cash.

Could be a lot of things. Most likely CPU problems (which could be caused by heat, power, etc). Ram problems will usually hard freeze you (cause they affect things more deeply)

hehe... installed XP pro. Was a pistol to get my dial-up to work.. i actully had to call my ISP's tech support to figure out what i had to do. About 10min after i got it goin...it just shuts of. I so backed her down to 1060Mhz and now everything is fine ...or at least had been for 6hrs..

Note: Xp rules... never goin back!!!
