Well the old SMC router that has served me well went T.U. The wan wont connect anymore.... Did the dual nic trick with my server for a temp fix - but I really didn't feel too comfortable leaving it exposed that way, so I picked up a D-link 614+ for 60 bucks. Great user interface, and the wireless range is better than the SMC.

Is that an A or a G wireless?

If you have a spare box, say that just folds or something, you can install WinRoute on it, which is a software based firewall, and works very nice.

it's a B... I toyed with the idea of using a spare box, but the only spare I have now other than the direct die box is my web / ftp server, and I really didn't want to add the overhead on that one.
