Hello everyone :)

I want to tell you my story. Happy reading.

First: My Water Cooling Trip (http://members.cox.net/dea-orion/)

Next: When Disaster Strikes (http://members.cox.net/dea-orion/when_disaster_strikes.htm)

Well this is just another learning experience to water cooling. Time to rebuild again.:cool3:

:beerm8s: Welcome terminator :beerm8s:

That's terrible to see but I'm glad most of it survived. I had my pump shut off on my TEC system while the TEC and the system kept running. I got away with some really hot water temps and a little downtime but it's still cranking.

Good luck on the next revsion. :)

Unfortunately my CPU and mobo did not survive ordeal (obviously :D ). Using a relay is the only way to go.

Glad to hear you managed to survive the leakage ... you're now a REAL watercooler :D

I think just about everyone who's every watercooled has had a leak at some point, I had two in a weak following a termal overload and was lucky to survive it all :)

Yep...I bounced back quickly from that disaster all the wiser:) My system is now 100% idiot proof.

Never underestimate the ingenuity of idiots. I don't think anything can stop a determined idiot. :)

Up and running again!
Got the relay on both water pump and
peltier psu, plus fuses on each. Hopefully
this will do the job from melting again.
I placed a thermistor on top of the water
block and set the monitor to shut down at
45ºC. This time I'm not ussing a reservoir,
just complete loop. Now the temps takes a
while to go down to 2-3ºC. My water temp
is measured on top of the water block. Thats
41ºC at full load. Full load is, encoding a
home video for 30 minutes. Other than that
it works fine now.

Is there anything else I need to keep it from melting again?:D

At this point it looks like you have all the bases covered. I'd sit back and enjoy the performance for a while now:)

Edit - On second thought, also make sure you are using your built in BIOS shutdown feature. It's free insurance.

i second that.

i used to run my rig without the relay kit but after a few close calls i put the relay in and set the bios shut down just in case.

I got mine at Frys Electronics.
You could check your local electronics store if theres one near by.
Try Radio Shack
Try Swiftech
& I just could not think of any more right now but
I'm sure a few of the members will know a few online stores.
