Hi all new to the forums. Site looks sweet.

Well I'm about to order my H2O kit for here ....http://www.dtekcustoms.com/

Dan sounds like a great guy. Anyways will be trying the TC-4 poly block. I will only be cooling my XP2000 for now but will likely be cooling my GPU also in the future.

Question is do I need the 1048 or the 1250? Dan believes in slower the better for cooling. Everyone will have different opinions and I'm sure they might all be right. Just want to get some suggestions from this cool new site.

Thanks

I use the 1250 and it works great.

Radiators like slower, waterblocks like faster. Basically, you want a flow rate somewhere in the middle...like 300gph to 500gph should be fine.

Hi RacerX,

First let me welcome you to Liquid Ninjas....:D WELCOME!!:D

Now, you will probably get a lot of opinions here so at least mine it the first.

I prefer a faster pump.
My theory is faster water flow removes the heat faster. The less time the water remains at the hot CPU the quicker it can draw the heat off.

Now, let the opinions start, I'm waiting.

Take care.........

EDIT: Second opinion........

Wow guys that was fast. If this helps I will be using the Cooler core with a shroud.

Let the debate begin.:)

In both setups I'm using EHEIM 1250 and I'm happy. I have never tried 1048/1046 so can't suggest anything...
Sorry

tricky question...

my opinion is if you spend the time and effort tuning the water cooling system then the 1048 will work very well but it requires time, patience and experience (see the swiftech quiet power as an example)

most people should go for the 1250, this way you have more than enough capacity that will give you near perfect cooling with less hassle, and if it's too fast you can allways restrict the flow later.
