Ok I'm spreading the word to all people in the UK and letting them know they should avoid any kind of dealings with a certain company ... why? read on and you'll see.

The company I'm talking about is Java Computers, they are based in Doncaster in the UK. Unfortunately I'd rather be castrated than attempt to order from them again. The company is run by a guy I know, we used to work together and do actually get along LOL. Anyway I posted on their forums (and emailed sales) with a list of components I wanted for my new rig which totalled around £2000!!. Over a week later there was no real response to my order which is kinda sloppy already considering the amount I was going to spend. Anyway over a month later and I still had heard nothing from them at all, multiple emails to the company and to the guy himself went unanswered. So I posted everything through again, both on the forums and via the sales email.

To cut a long story short I spent the money elsewhere very recently, when I emailed/posted that I got tired of waiting so went elsewhere all I got was a whole lot of attitude from the other guy who works there!!

So my experience with basically a friend's company has been bad, their forums go unchecked for weeks on end, emails are not replied to and the website is in a constant phase of "underconstruction" so never seems to work when you want it to ... and I'm not the only disgruntled potential buyer.

So avoid them like the plague if you value your sanity.

There's more

I got an email from them finally after I emailed then a couple of times. Basically they had a major attitude with me and said they couldn't provide me with all the parts I wanted so they ignored my requests figuring that I would go and buy then from somewhere else!!!!!

How screwed up is that, and they wondered why I was pi$$ed at them.

To make it even worse they deleted all my posts and said they reserve the right to remove posts that are derogatory to the company!! Basically they didn't want anyone seeing how badly they treated customers ... a customer who was actually a good friend!

What, there's still more?

Yeah more. I emailed the guy who owns the company (an old friend) with a nice email pointing out that I'd had bad service and all that. None was worded badly and just asked why I had received this kind of treatment. The result was an email which launched an attack on me, there were so many insults and verbal obscenities it was unreal. It was totally uncalled for and I enquired as to what the hell was going on. More insults and denial that there was a problem ... would you call loosing £2000 "not a problem"? Didn't think so.

In the end I told him that I'd make sure people were aware of how he treated customers by posting all of this on forums ... he said you're all geeks so it doesn't bother him one bit.

So all you UK people avoid this company, the guy who owns it was actually a friend of mine!! If he treats me like that god only knows how he treats people he doesn't know.

I urge everyone to spread the word so nobody else has to go through crap like this.

He says we're only geeks so it doesn't matter? Where the hell does he think the sales are coming from?

I deleted all my links to the site but could look for one. Problem is I don't see the point as all posts they deem "bad" are deleted so that their loyal customers and other potential customers don't see what they're really like.

Also I got some threatening messages from the two guys who run the business syaing that I had better go to the forums and apologise for saying bad things about them or they'd be paying me a visit so we can "sort it out" LOL. I eagerly await their visit, it's about time I got to put the 5 years of Taekwondo training to use :D

Anyway I posted on their forums and basically informed everyone of the threats I had received and let them know how I was being treated. Within minutes my thread was gone and my account deleted, no doubt my IP will be blocked.

If you can find a link let's see if we can't make them ban most of north america's IP's :D

Threatening to come over and "Sort it out", that's wonderful service. F'n children, they talk tough but delete things they can't handle... Good way to run a busniess.

I know I'm coming in late here, but I just wanted to say "PC Goons", I'm impressed.

On balance, you must admit.....You did threaten to spend lots of money there.:D

I know how I would respond to threats of goons....but it is not good advice so I will leave it. Anyway I passed that name on to everyone I know in the UK, thanks.
