I am starting to peice and part to gether a really cool mod. I call it project UV. It will be all plexi glass and it will be uv light to light it up. I plan on making it like any old plexi case but the case will work with the water cooling system. You may ask your self how is he going to do this, i will tell you how my curious friends.

On the side that everybody puts a window on i will be making another peice of plexi the fit in there and totally seal it off then make some fittins coming out of it to tap in to my water cooling system. So that i have created this humungous resivour. Now i ask you has this been done?

If you have and sugestions please shoot it need all the help i can get in order to pull this off.

This is what i have so far...

Danger Den maze 4 for AMD
A swiftec rad
Swiftec pump
Clear braided hose 1/2" (the stuff you use for sinks)
All uv sleaving
uv zip ties
And blue uv die for the water

There is much more but for now that is what i am listing. And advise and suggestions are more than welcome. Oh yeah i have also started my own modding company

Totaly trick Computers or TTC

Thanx for any help!

I've started to build an insert but not the whole case..... I want to include some waterfalls and waterwheels in mine..

Here is my idea with integrated water cooling. Waiting on a few parts before totally finish with designing

integrated reservoir, water will not be filled up all the way, that way it will "splash" against the front, and run down. When it hits the bottom sides, it will hopefully create a little ripple/flowing effect all the way to the back of the case.

Not quite finished part.

Few notes, 21" Height x 19" depth x 9" width.

The reservoir section will be clear, that way when I have my UV lights behind it, it will glow with uv reactive dye (most likely green/yellow as it is the brightest) Hope the pictures make the concept clear.

Paint scheme will be this glow in the dark blue paint i found at a hobby shop, that is meant for lexan RC cars. That way the paint should be fine with the plexi, no bad chemical reactions. The "backer" which is supposed to make it glow better, is mostly white, so it will have a sorta iMac'ish look to it... oh well. So it should be white during the day, with glowing green flowing water along the bottom. And it should glow a nice blue haze during night time, with bright flourescent green along the front and bottom.

Hope that gives you some ideas.

**edit**
something i forgot to mention, i have room on all the panels for dynamat + 1/2" thick sound dampening foam, in case my case isnt quiet enough. I only plan on running 1 120mm so the radiator, and 1 80mm on the PSU as my exhaust. You could easily add another 120m blow hole on top, and blow holes on the side. If you didn't want room for all the sound dampening material, you could probably make the width of the case 8"

I don't get exactly what's being shown, but it looks like it will be an absolutely spiffin' mod if it turns out half as good as it sounds. Good luck! :D

I in all honesty would personally prefer a case that was not 100% plexi, areas such as the mounting for drives / psu and behind the motherboard look really unimpressive in a 100% plexi case like the one we have at work. I would use aluminum or some nice finished wood in its stead.

well it won't be clear plexi, the entire case will be painted, minus the base structure that is the reservoir, that will be clear, so my UV lights can shine from the inside, lighting the water. I think that will look better. I agree with you in that just a totally clear pc doesn't look all that great. My motherboard tray and pci slots im cheating, and just using one from a case.

:) nope, sorry...just some boring old shelving for books and maybe a printer....

...but still SketchUp is really cool, and would be great for mapping out any project.

yea, really easy to learn, and fairly intuitive. 3d model programs like milkshape are a little harder to learn imo.

Wait a sec... how did you get the measurements in your pic?

its a tool just like the line drawing tool....i think on my toolbar (didnt customize it at all) it was 2 above the protractor and one above the measuring tape tool...i found that especially helpful for design schematics, cause all ill do is take that to the hardware store..then to the shop...and things should come out great!
