i know we have a load of bikers on this site so i thought i'd ask for some tips...
as most of the regulars know i have a little kawasaki zxr 400 that i've had since september (when i passed my test), also as the regulars will know i live in the UK where it rains pretty much constantly between september and june, having said that i've still put in a shade over 5000miles in the saddle...
anyway... now things are drying out (kinda) speeds are going up and i'm starting to get a decent amount of lean going round corners, but no matter what i do i can't get anywhere near the edge of these tires! (bt010's) i have chicken strips (the unused section of tire) about half an inch wide on each side and i just can't get any lower.
i need some advice on getting it lower around corners, my general riding style is sitting up, close to the tank, when i corner i lean the same amount as the bike.
watching the racers, and fast road riders that i see around, i notice they hang off the bike a bit, so i gave that a go, if i do it while sitting forward it goes round corners ok but scares me silly when i try and get back on the bike (things get a bit wiggly) if i do it while sitting back it feels like the front tire is washing out a little. another problem is because my bike could be described as "quite revvy" i often run out of revs through a long corner and need to change gear and you just can't do that while hanging off the bike
any tips would be great
