Hi Joe,

PLL is phase lock loop.

Check out www.yahoo.com and maybe they have something on it.

i think you mean what type of pll is it right?

you'll need to open up your computer and take a look i'm afraid... the pll is long and thin... surface mount... commonly made by winbond or ics... and it'll be near the processor. any of the websites offering windows overclocking utils normally have a guide to finding the pll on your board
