My story:
I was google searching for hardware reviews and it took me to a hardware site (I don't remember which one) and I looked at their links page and LiquidNinjas just stood out so I clicked.
I met Pat and Leo earlier that month and I asked them what motherboard I should buy. Leo said: "I like MSI" Pat said: "Abit is good ASUS is good. You should really look around on the net and see what other people are saying about them. Read the reviews."
Everyone here is nice, helpful, knowledgeable and has a sense of humor.

When i got my ASUS board, Fara pointed me to NM for O/C advice, MDZCPA hooked me up and i followed the good crew to here.
if we had a referror counter, Fara would have to get 2 from me.

Well,
When I was back at NM Lee, Fara and Mike all helped me out alot. Then one day I was reading a post from tom (P0) and there was a link in his sig that said Liquid Ninjas, well i clicked on it and it said "coming soon!" So about a week later I tried it again and LN was up and running :D Well i've been here since.
I was an old ninjamicros member, after Dan left this became my home ( I think there was a link to liquidninjas on the ninjamicros site).
Love this place.
Regards,
KODE.

I've stomped around the net a lot calling a number of different places home over the years. After really getting into overclocking the AMD Slot A systems a few years back, I found my way to NM looking for info on the old Ninja Micros Freespeed Pro (GFD device). When the site began to fade away from it's hardware orientation as slot A become obsolete, I took the opportunity to join Tom in starting LN in May 2002. Although we have remained true to our original hardware site orientation, it's the friendly and informative nature of the LN community that's really special. I'v stayed put since May 2002.

I found Mdzcpa over @ the old VIAhardware site and followed him to NM. When the dark time at NM came I noticed Player0's post about LN and checked back allmost daily.
That's how I got here.:)

I was researching liquid cooling and was drawn to the site primarily by the name - thought "liquid ninjas" should know their stuff otherwise they'd be called Air or Heatsink (ok slow morning and my coffee hasn't kicked in) - I've stayed because I see a nice cross section of folks who give ideas freely.. Only wish I could make one of the LAN's

Back in the day, I mostly just floated around [H]ard and a couple other boards for a year or two until I saved enough money up for my first Slot A. I got a website gig doing frozen cord blood and sperm banking of all damn things. Got $2500 for that job so I bought me a nice 800Mhz Athy. Did some comparisons on GFDs and wound up at NinjaMicros. Found the forums there and got a lot of my newbie q's answered so that became my home. I modded there for a while until I resigned due to confictions with bkpaul (of course we are friends now). A few years later, Fluke wanted to sell the board, and NY, Ranger498, and I jumped at the opportunity. Of course Rids with the UK connection got first dibs, and then he paired up with 3DHQ, which is what NM morphed in to.
Of course, NY and I already had some big ideas for the 'new' NM which weren't going to come to fruition. Ranger at this point became too busy to help out, so we added Mdzcpa and Lechumbl to help run the site. So we decided to give it a go ourselves, not really out of spite or to compete with anyone, but to see if we could do things better. I'd like to think we've done well so far. No lawsuits yet anyway ;)

I had problems installing my Danger Den Radeon block and Dan from DD recommeded that I post my questions at Liquid Ninja.
Now I'm still a noob here, but an old noob at 36. I like the place; not as much clutter as some of the bigger BBS sites but it seems everyone is willing to give a helping hand and a comical relief at times - two of the main components to keep me interested.
Nice Place:cool3:
PS. Someday I'll get to now the main characters here...it does take time:beerm8s:

I settled down with the [H], Anandtech, and THG as my homes, and after first seeing an overclock from a TEC system, I decided to research the subject. So I stumbled upon this article (http://www.liquidninjas.com/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=20) and here I am today :)

Originally started out on Ninjamicros when i got my 1st proper self built system, had loads of problems, they helped me sort it...then when things went a bit dodgy at NM and some of the guys set this place up it was the logical move to follow...

I found this place, I guess out of curiosity. I frequented PCLincs (whilst getting into watercooling) which appears to have a cross section of the LN members hiding out there. One day I noticed the cool folding sig at the bottom of someones post so went to investigate. Initially I justed folding for LN as it appeared to be a good cause and I didn't know any other sites with a folding team. After a while I registered and began to post here. I found I liked this place because it's not so big like some of the sites out there which means there's a higher chance of getting a response to a question.
I guess the strange people with their love for computers and generally laid back sense of humour is something you don't find often ... so I stayed.

I'm still over at Ninja Micros but I also like to drop by LN for some gaming talk :) and of course I've never met an off topic forum I didn't like. ;) :D
Good crew here.
Oh, and some  smilies as well!! :djsmiles:

Yeah there is a big overlap on forums like this, i am still a member at NM, as well as PClincs, [H]ard bittech and prolly a couple of others, but i only really frequent LN, have been here since day one and have seen things change a lot, but then that happens all over the place, NM being a prime example....LN has a damn good thing going here, hope it stays that way...good little community

I wish I had time to frequent more other forums. PCLincs.co.uk and XtremeSystems.org are both very good and I recommend them. Some of the other forums, like Hard and Icrontic got to big and don't have the same quality of people as these smaller sites do.

i was doing some research on water cooling when i came across a link that brought me here at LN. i observed the forum for some time and noticed the good etiquette of the admins and members so i decided to come out of the shadows and ask specific questions. i was greeted with LN's usual friendly attitude.

I've been looking for a good forum to hang out at lately and i saw this website over at EOCF on their folding stats. So far this place seems smaller and not overcrowded with flaming noobs like that place is starting to become:rolleyes:and that is cool with me:metal:

mine is a story of miss adventure, derring do and unfeasably long tea breaks...or to cut a long story short started at NM with the classic freespeed pro and migrated here by following links in sigs... now with pclincs and LN taking all my time these are the only places i frequent

Found NinjaMicros by chance quite sometime ago with Fluke at the helm, and everybody teasing Ranger because he was posting like crazy :D
Then things happened as mdzcpa+Player0 described. So i signed on here as well. But in the meantime my time in forums descreased in general,so i couldnt (and cant) post as much as i'd like in any forum.Oh well, times change.
The difference between various forums is that some are too big to be convenient. There is a limit of quality+lots of members.Passed that when number of members increases too much, quality decreases.
Depends on the posters too,but in general this is true for all forums.
This one here, is still more quality than number of posters, but quality atracts members so sometimes you cant avoid degradation ultimately.
Hey i know ! LETS PREVENT FURTHER registering ! LOL :D jk

Hey, one more and we will have 1000 registered members!
not all active but thats because most lost ther internet access, otherwise there is no reason to leave here;)
Was searching for tips on watercooling. Ended up landing here. Stayed here ever since. Not a bad place to make my home page.
