after flashing my bios on a kt7a-raid board to version a9,everything seemed to go well till I got into windows and now its looking for drivers

via tech vt82c686 pci to isa bridge

via tech vt82c686 power managment controller

via bus master pci ide controller

via tech 308 pci + usb universal host controller

via tech 308 pci + usb universal host controller

arent these the via 4 in 1 drivers?

I tried different ones like the new 447 and also tried the 438's

each time the self exe file goes to 100 and the a small popup come on and says (registry error please reboot)

I never had the usb enabled in bios but now I want to use them

what am I doing wrong?

Windows 98se

Thanks

Hi,

ACPI was disabled in the previous BIOS? this used to happen to me when I flash to newer BIOS and forgot to disable ACPI after the flash (I used to disable ACPI with this mobo).

yes you right I forgot all about that,I did manage to update the drivers by opening the via self exe file and placing everything in a new folder, and installed everything,I may have to format my C: drive or can I now disable ACPI?after all the drivers are in ?
