Hi Datsin,

The newest one is Intel 875P (http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/875P/) that features support for an 800 MHz Front Side Bus (FSB).For 2700 memory modules and desktop entry i think E7205 (http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/E7205/) probably is the best one, but why not to go for 875P?Only because a memory modules?
Well..., i'm not a Intel user, (i have been thinking a lot to migrate for Intel in my next upgrade.I'm tired of inconstancy on via and nvidia), maybe someone here have another opinion about it.

The E7205 chipset was made for PC2700, but the i875 or i865 chipsets can pull more bandwidth out of the memory, especially if coupled with an 800MHz FSB chip.

Budget/bang for the buck? i865
Bells and whistles with a side of extra performance? i875

These guys above pretty much summed it up well. I'd go with an 865 chipset board and go with a top notch board makers like Asus or Abit. Then get their performance enhancing BIOS (which enables PAT) and you'll have near 875 chipset performance real cheap.
