Planning on getting this block. According to the reviews I've read it performs pretty well. Any problems or flaws I should know about?

Hi, and welcome to the forums!

I've heard okay things about it, but I have not experienced it for myself, since the block isnt really over here in the US as far as I know.

However, there are some new waterblock designs out right now that may very well be better than the Silverprop, and I can tell just by looking. The Cyclone's design has been around for a while, and I can guesstimate how it compares to some of the blocks today. Where are you at, and what are your other options?

I'm in california. I'm considering buying this block used but pretty new (from what I gather from the pics anyway) since the guy is giving me a free heatercore with it :) I've seen reviews on the maze type cyclones but the cyclone 3 has an open channel design so I don't know how much performance would vary.

looks cool.
free heater core might make it worth it.

Got that right. If the 3 is anything like that 5 then it'd be on par with the maze3 which is fine with me. Free stuff = win.
