After ordering a new cpu thinking my 1.4 was dead the Iwill kk266r still does not post. Much like the other thread motherboard lights up all fans spin up but no post. Have interchanged all parts(cpu,vc,ram, psu) and everything points to the mobo. When the problem occured their was a electrical smell in the room and the monitor had a dashed white line runing vertically in a blank screen. Upon reboot no line at all or any kind of post or beep. I got the board right after Fluke got his so its really not very old. How is Iwill's rma service and how long to they support their hardware ? Have I missed any steps in identifying the problem?

Iwill has pretty good support, which I found to be quite surprising. Their tech guys really helped me out lots with my problem.
Yeah, its quite possible for a dead CPU to try the mobo as well. It will take out the power circuit. Did you ever find out why it all died? Cooler fall off or something? Maybe the powercircuit on the board blew all by itself.
Id RMA it if you can.

Not sure why it died player0 when I put my hand over the psu fan it was exhausting very very hot air So I orignally thought psu burned up but I have a psu tester it tested good and I had a brand new psu and that didnt solve anything either. So i popped in a pci trident vc and no post. When I removed the fan from the swiftec 462 it had a blanket of dust on 50% of the top because they put those pins so close together it collects dust fast. So I ordered a new 2600 333 for myself and was gonna put my 2200 in the iwill. The 2200 did not post(in the Iwill) so then I tryed the 1.4 in my at7-max-2 and the tbird posted(man those chips r tough I dropped it on a hardwood floor and it stills works). Final thought was the Kingmax 150 was dead but I tryed a different stick and tried your suggestion no ram just cpu,psu,hsk-lol but no beeps even poped out the cmos battery and checked it plenty of voltage(can a dead battery stop a mobo from posting?) Its dead oh well, what do you think of the biostar M7NCDP from newegg(read customer reviews)? Its just the wifes email surfing machine.

Its alive again! Messed around with the kk266r all morning tryed leaving the battery out all night nothing worked so then I ordered a new mobo and ram from newegg and decided to go to Iwill website to get a rma and stopped off in the forums. Found a guy with the same problem as myself I read in the forums that the bios would refuse to boot with a xp processor but when the board died it had a 1.4. Then I swapped it out for a xp2200 I thought since the 2200 was factory unlocked i could just use a 13 * 133 for 1729mhz because there is no 13.5 multiplier WRONG! So I put the 1.4 back in again and it posted so I adjusted the bios to favor the 2200, put the xp2200 in again no post. Just goes to show ya what many of u said Just when you think its dead your dead wrong. Anyway having a hard time justifying why I should cancel my new stuff just cant bring myself to do it.
Thanks Player0
