Hi. I need some suggestions with a good radiator fan. It will be 120mm fan.

Stuff above 80CFM should work great. too bad I haven't seen any cool LED fans or UV fans with 80 or more CFM. Has anyone?

Another questions is, is more CFM better - more beyond a certain point that is. I think a lot are tested and rated t a certain CFM and more won't necessarily help and will only give off more noise, etc.

This fan I thought is fun :)

190 CFM :)

If you get a high CFM fan and use a rheobus to adjust it then you should have all the adjustability you need between power and quietness.

Yes, there is a point of diminishing return. Your water can only get as cold as the air blowing through it, and the closer it gets the less of a gain you get when you push more CFM through the rad.

Should I go normal fan type or panaflo? Anyone have any good recommendations?

Dude get the Panaflo's I have 1 on my rad & it's great, I use a rheobus to when I need a little extra power I can crank it up, but can also hear myself think by turning it down. Panaflo has low, medium, & high output versions, do a little research on them to see what will suit you best. :razz3:

i got 2 kinds of YSTech 120mm fans - some 120CFM ones an a 100CFM one.

The 120CFM ones are way too loud to use at 12v and are still pretty noisey at 7v. They are quietest at 5v and that is what i use em at. The 100CFM one is still pretty loud at 12v but at 7v is as quiet as the 120CFM@5v (100CFM@5v is almost silent).

Not gonna do the maths but 100CFM@7v is better than 120CFM@5v.

If i could be bothered id replace my 120CFM ones with 100CFM ones. If you are leaning towards making ur system quiet then be careful which uns you get, the slightest difference in sound can make a lot of difference to you after living with it for a while.

Am using a pair of Sunon 107cfm's on my rad with the fan controller built into the True Control psu. Normally run at a low setting and it is pretty quiet but when benching or gaming, I crank up the speed and crank up the volume.

I also run a pair of those high speed 120mm Sunons on my rad using a rheobus. Works great with plenty of adjustability.

I bought the Panaflo L1A (69CFM), M1A (86CFM) and H1A (105CFM), not knowing which one to use on my setup.
Actually I use the M1A at 7V (virtually silent) through a rheobus, difference between min and max speed is about 1°C...
I think I will go back to the L1A (almost silent even at 12V).
The H1A is far too noisy for my ears, even at 7V.
No point to go for WC if noise is as high as aircooling :D
