Excellent bandwidth! The IS7 is indeed a great board.

Is that bench using Abit's new 865 PAT enabling BIOS?

Same here....my max is 1.7v for 24/7 use and I'm TEC cooled. Anything above that is kinda scary with a P4.

I dont notice any speed advantage over 1.625 with my badly air cooled p4.

no its not

lazyness keeps me from editing my stuff you know man....

my p4 this one likes the volts some are different but this one thrievs on it many people say theres crap out over so many volts i have a few that dont like more than 1.7ish this one stays cold no matter what...volts...... its one of those

I think i read somewhere that the heat of the P4 @ max voltage was not so scary as it is with the AMDs.If this is so, then why do people max out the AMDs and not the P4s ,saying that it isnt good for the P4 chip etc ?

ya amd gets hotter than p4 thats for sure

The Athlon generally does run at higher temps, but the big difference is voltage, AMD you can get by at over 2 volts, typically you try coming anywhere near that with a P4 and your gonna have a dead processor... Also as cheap as AMD processors are you generally have folks pushing them much harder...
